At Discovery OT, purposeful play is the foundation of how we support children, their families and adults to connect, learn and progress towards their goals. Our home-based and virtual occupational therapy sessions utilize a strength based, neurodiversity affirming, playful, and individualized approach.
Hello and Welcome! I'm Melissa Richards, an Occupational Therapist and founder of Discovery OT.
I embrace a child-led, play-based approach during therapy sessions. I truly love witnessing the power of play and seeing both children and their families grow in their confidence as they build skills and learn new strategies to help support their goals. I believe that play is a powerful tool for unlocking potential and fostering strong, positive and supportive relationships. I'm dedicated to collaborating close with your family to create a tailored experience that meets your child and family's unique needs.
When I am not working, you'll likely find me participating in sports such as gymnastics or aerial silks. I also love indulging in a good TV show and cannot say no to a sweet treat.
